Mac & Prada are the loves of my life. And I’ll just say it, they’re my soul mates. They fill my life with so much love and joy. The two of them have made me a better person, not only as an owner, but as a wife and person in this wild society.
Having animals growing up made my love for them grow fonder. First there was Joe, the beautiful Black Lab who my mom and dad got when I was born. He was loyal, loving and a kind soul. Then there was Bow, a black and grey cat with the most beautiful green eyes who captured my heart in numerous ways. Then there was Sissy, a shih tzu my dad had as a companion for him while he was on the road. She has a wild spirit and loving personality. Then there was Bernie. The dog who gave me all the love in the world. My mom had brought him home from the local vet in Union City and said we were going to keep him. Bernie started my raging love for dogs, specifically large breed dogs, he was a St. Bernard/Border Collie mix. He was everything a dog should be. ❤ And I can’t forget my lovely guinea pig, Petunia, a Valentines Day present from my grandma who knew how much I wanted a dog, but my mom wouldn’t let me. She was a crazy little piggy who always kept me on my toes.
While all of the animals above were part of my life, they sadly all exited my life; each in their own unique ways. Joe lived a wonderful life of about 15 years, but took himself to a spot in the woods to quietly pass on his own. Bow had a tumor in his stomach, but held on for me until I got married and moved to Washington. I’ll always be thankful to him for sticking around long enough to see me off on my new adventure. Bow lived a wonderful 18+ years. Sissy went to another home after many semi truck rides with my dad and I around the country, she has always been in my thoughts. Petunia went to a good home when I moved to WA and passed soon after that. Bernie was given to another home and passed on there, which was my first real heartbreak before Bow passed away. ❤
Then, there was Prada. A beautiful Bloodhound/Lab who was calling my name in a kennel outside of the Tractor Supply Store. She was abused, underweight, and scared. Prada’s loving brown eyes and happy face made me fall for her immediately. After many begging tears to Kyler, we returned to TS and adopted our new baby. She is the most loving dog I’ve ever encountered. She is my best friend, my go to gal, and the most beautiful spirit. She reminds me a lot of myself. She has passion, and always see’s the best in each person she comes across. She will understand all of your flaws and quirks, and try her best to love you everyday.
And then theres my sweet boy Macaroni. A spunky, W I L D, and vibrant Boxer/Mastiff who is our second baby! Mac reminds me a lot of myself as well. He isn’t afraid to show who he really is, a wild boy! He’s a little bit of a trouble maker, but is the sweetest boy when it counts. I call him Macaroni because, well it’s funny, but also because he’s as wild as a noodle! He doesn’t always like to listen, because he is strong in his beliefs. He follows his heart, and will dart passed anybody who tries to get in his way!
I want to start posting about my life with Mac and Prada, and how each day they teach me something new, and how we all have each others backs.
❤ ❤ ❤ R.I.P Joe Boy, Bow Bow, Sissy, Bernie, and Petunia. ❤ ❤ ❤
**I wanted to add pictures, but unfortunately at the time of Bernie, Joe Boy and Sissy, I used disposable cameras and don’t have many pictures of them.**
